The swedish healey club has today about 300 members. Even though the club is fairly large, it has a small-club feeling because of the good friendship between members and the activities that we do. The club was founded in 1970 and has since grown in scale. The swedish club has a wide variety of cars, everything from the BN1 to the exclusive and sough after 100S, the light and nimble Sprite, and last but not least the luxurious BJ8, Besides the Austin Healeys we also include members with Jensen Healeys, Silverstones and all the Healey related cars.
Austin Healey Club Sweden is very active when it comes to organizing meets and other social gatherings for its members. Every summer the club’s annual meeting is held, which is organized by a different member each year. The past years meetings have been very successful, with a large turnout and great fun. In 2006 the meeting was held in Strängnäs, were members got to drive on beautiful roads in Södermanland and a chance to show their car’s potential on the track.
Besides the usual Healeys, the club has a few race cars as well, which frequently race in Swedish historic races. Last summer four cars raced at Gelleråsen, including Anders and Kåge Schildts, and Anders Lotsengårds 3000, and the premier for Nisse Nyblaeuse’s 100M.
There is a great atmosphere within the club, with many members spontaneously meeting for drinks, dinners or to help each other out with their cars. Throughout the years many great friends have met through the club.


To sum up, as member Göran “Goran” Nilsson once said “We can’t take these beautiful cars with us when we die, so it’s our responsibility to preserve them for coming generations, so that they too can enjoy these wonderful machines”.
